Pat Mcgrath Labs Foundation Review

Pat McGrath Labs foundation has light-medium coverage. I purchased the foundation in shade # 17.

PROS:

I love the lightweight feel of the foundation and how natural it looks on my face. It softly blurs imperfections, but it does not completely cover them or suffocate your skin.

I love the packaging of the product in a frosted glass bottle because it looks and feels luxurious.

The quality of the product shines through in pictures because it gives the face a natural glow.

CONS:

My skin does get oily mid-day while wearing this foundation. However, my skin gets this way regardless of if I wear makeup or not. I think a mid-day powder touch-up is necessary while wearing this foundation or investment in a good shine control primer.

I recommend trying out a sample of the foundation at Sephora before purchasing to see how your skin responds. Overall, the quality shines just as with other Pat McGrath Labs products. ❤

Pat McGrath Lip Products

(Reference to the image below – right side pictures are without a filter) I’ve gotten Pat McGrath lip products: LUST: GLOSS × Twilo (Clean Coral Pink, bottom right), LUST GLOSS x Blood 2 -(medium-dark red, top right), and the BlitzTrance Trios in Ravishing Riot. All three lip products nourish my lips and that’s where their quality stands out. The glosses do not get gunky and do not create any kind of residue on my lips. I wear Twilo gloss when I teach lectures and I my lips look the same after an hour of talking. The colors are glossy yet pigmented. I have nothing negative to say, it’s as good as Fenty gloss but even better because of the shade range.

BlitzTrance Trios in Ravishing Riot pictured is the Flesh 3 lipstick from the set. The lipstick is sparkly in a subtle way and mauve colored with a touch of brown and red. The color is almost indescribable. I’ve never owned a lipstick this shade. It can almost look orangey under specific light. It’s similar to her shadows in that way because the lipstick is iridescent and unique. I look forward to trying her foundation soon too. Pat is for sure a living legend. ❤

4th of July Makeup, Dress, & Skincare

Hey all, hope you had a lovely Fourth of July! ❤ This post details the makeup, skincare, and dress I wore and used for the holiday.

The dress is from Réalisation Par, The Teale in Wild Cherry. I wanted this dress for months, and I was happy to wear it on the perfect holiday for red and blue clothes. I paired it with black van sneakers.

After pictures with makeup and final image without makeup before – This is the skincare I used:

After washing my face, I applied Glow Vitamin C and Rose Water from the brand Mamonde. My skin was super bright and alive-looking afterward. Also, my make up did not look greasy like it did in the past by the end of the night. I really love the rose water toner, I have a sample size and want to get the full-sized product. Under my eyes, I used my Kiehl’s avocado eye cream, and the face lotion I used was Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica. I also used a few drops of Dior Youth Filler plumping face serum (a more detailed review in upcoming Sephora and Glow post next). I added some Supergoop sunscreen to my neck too.

Makeup used:

I did not put on primer, because for some reason I feel like it always makes my face look oily.

I put on Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Cushion Compact with SPF 35 only on my T-zone. I followed it with Black Up bronzer below my cheekbones, on my forehead, and chin.

I used Supergoop sunscreen eyeshadow all over my lid. I added dimension on my eyes by adding shimmery brown in the crease of the eyelid and a little shimmery white with pink on the bottom half of my lid too from Pat McGrath. Then I lined my eye with Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner in the color Ice. On my cheeks and nose, I used Fenty Killawatt Girl Next Door and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold.

For my brows, I used Benefit Ultra-Fine Brow Defining Pencil in the color 5 and Benefit 24-HR Brow Setter Gel. I finished my eyelashes with Lancome Gandoise 40RB mascara. ❤

Favorite Lip Products

Pat McGrath palette update – in all honesty, the more I use this product the surer I am its worth it 100% lol. The quality really shines through in pictures. It does not look like her Instagram advertisements but it still has a high-quality flare. I may purchase her lip products in the future.

1.) YSL Volupte Tint-in-Lip-Balm – Hands down my favorite lip product because it’s a gloss and does not require a mirror for application. I’m the kind of person that always ends up with lipstick on my teeth. I think this lip balm is pigmented but still looks natural. Cost 34.50 euros (I also love Fenty gloss just as much)

2.) Dior Addict Lacquer Stick – The colors are very creamy and pigmented but still have luster. I have the dark fuschia color. While I love the shade, I do not think it goes well with my complexion. In the future, I’ll get the orange-red shade or rosy nude. Cost $37.00

3.) Free People Mocha Rose lip balm – It smells like hot chocolate! It’s very nourishing on the lips and feels like a sweet personal treat with each use. Cost $8.00 ☕

Review – Pat McGrath Eyeshadow

I love Pat McGrath’s brand. My mother gifted me her Mothership II: Sublime Palette as a New Year treat. The packaging is very weighted, unique, and luxurious. I love the shimmer and iridescent quality of the shadows. This palette is super pricey and I would not recommend it unless you really wanted it. I personally think MAC eyeshadow looks just as shimmery. However, if you really want to indulge and join the wave, I say go for it. I do feel special every time I use this product. The shadows have little fallout and the colors are gorgeous in person. ❤
