Autumn Wreath🍁🍁🍁

Hello everyone, happy Friday

I remade my wreath to transition it to a fall theme. I purchased all of the flowers, fall leaves, and the fall sign from Micheals with the 30% sale.

I used dark purple colored flowers, as well as orange and yellow ones. Additionally, I used the Pumpkin, Berry, Maple Leaf Fall Bush and a fall leaves bush.

Unlike the previous wreath this time I kept all the flowers together and only broke apart the fall bush to distribute the pumpkins, gourds, hay and leaves around the wreath to create balance.

I also barely used wire this time. I simply stuck the flowers underneath the wood. I used wire to stick the pumpkins and hay so it would not move. I also used wire for the fall sign to attach it to the bottom of the wreath.

The first time my mother and I made our wreath it took us an hour but this time we finished in about 15 minutes. This wreath design is simple and fun to make.

I hope this post gives you some ideas so you can create a wreath of your own too. Happy crafting! ❤

End of Summer Clothing~ For Love & Lemons, Paige

For Love & Lemons Gracie Midi DressI love how generously cut this midi dress is. I got a size small and there is still plenty of room in the dress. The fabric is light-weight and partially lined. The dress is not see-through. I wanted this dress because I love the retro 70s style cut and floral print. I wanted a dress like this for years because it looks like something Jackie from That 70s Show would wear. It is perfect for the end of summer because it provides coverage but is still light. A bonus, is it has a leg slit. It’s currently 15% off too!

Free People Lime BRB BodySuit – This bodysuit is supportive and vibrantly colored. The back is cutout to give the bodysuit a youthful edge. It is sold out but Free People has many body suits of a similar style. A vibrant bodysuit is a great way to spice up summer lounge wear.

Free People Levi’s shorts – I love the cut of these shorts because they have enough coverage in the back. The denim is very thick and they have minimally shrunk after getting washed several times.

Paige White Genevieve Pants – These pants are incredibly stretchy and forgiving. The downside is that they run long. I am around 5’6 and I wore heels yet they still were long, but if you are tall or don’t mind wearing heels I highly recommend them.

Free People Tortuga Straw Cowboy Hat – This hat is sold out but Free People has many cowboy hat alternatives. I think hats are a great accessory to use in the summer to make a simple outfit more festive while protecting your face from the sun. ❤

Sokoglam Sheet Masks, Sensitized Skin Products & Coffee Oil 🍉🧖🏾‍♀️☕

My sokoglam sheet mask collection is growing! Here are my thoughts:

  • COLLAGEN ESSENTIAL LIFTING & FIRMING SHEET MASK These masks are thicker than the standard sheet mask. They help plump out your skin with hydrolyzed collagen. A key ingredient is beta-glucan, it can help cool and relax the skin and reduce redness. Read more about beta-glucan here, written work reviewed by a dermatologist.
  • PACKH.D.P PHOTOREADY TIGHTENING CHARCOAL MASK – This black mask is the same brand as the collagen ones listed above. These masks contain pomegranate, charcoal, and adenosine extracted from yeast. The ingredient adenosine has anti-aging properties. Read more on adenosine here.
  • PIBUWANG MASK – REST (5PACK) – I’ve blogged about these vegan sheet masks before. Back then, I enjoyed using them but did not understand the hype. Recently my skin became irritated and the mask did effectively soothe my skin within two days and they minimized the appearance of discoloration from irritation.
  • BRIGHTENING SHEET MASK SET – I have not tried every mask in the set yet. I do love that the selection of masks can change with availability, this way it feels like a surprise when purchasing. This $19 set comes with five different sheet masks!

Sensitized Skin Products:

Three sensitized skincare products I’ve enjoyed using:

Art of Skincare Hale & Hush Soothe Essence – This is a life-changing essence, no exaggeration. It makes a major difference when my skin appears irritated out of the blue. I first discovered this product as a sample. I used it when my skin became irritated with bright red bumps on my cheek. By the next morning, the irritation disappeared entirely after using this essence. I purchased it as a full-size product for the first time. I’ve used it to soothe skin irritation and I’ve found that it always helps.

The key ingredients are birch tree extract, which has inflammatory properties, sunflower seed oil to hydrate, and mirabilis Jalapa extract to support the skin barrier and more.

Art of Skincare Quick Recovery Sample Masks – This $23 set is a great way to try out different masks and see how your skin reacts. The avocado mask is gentle and moisturizing, the pudding tapioca and rice mask can help smooth out skin texture, and the pumpkin mask cleanses pores and improves skin blood circulation. Check out the links to the individual masks below. My personal favorites are the Pudding Apeel Mask and Splendid Dirt Pumpkin Mask.

1.)Guac Star Soothing Avocado Mask

2.)Pudding Apeel Glycolic Mask

3.)Splendid Dirt Pumpkin Mask

BEAUTY OF JOSEON Green Tea Serum – This serum has centella asiatica to calm down redness and irritation, green tea as an antioxidant, and panthenol from vitamin B-5. Read more on panthenol here.

BODY Anese Coffee Oil – This vegan oil formulated for the bum with watermelon oil and coffee beans. It can help reduce cellulite. It soothes dryness or irritation on your skin and leaves it feeling supple, most notably when used in combination with a scrub beforehand. ❤

Rebecca Minkoff Bag Review

I recently got my second Rebecca Minkoff bag! The first bag I got was a tote bag I blogged about two years ago. I purchased a Chevron Quilted Jumbo Love Crossbody and a Leo Zip Card Case with Eye Stud.

I had my eye on this bag for about 5 months but I purchased the card case on a whim because it was on sale. I’m really happy I got it because I wanted a lighter wallet option to use daily.

My other Rebecca Minkoff wallet I blogged about in the past I love but it does feel weighted and heavy when used regularly. This small card case only needs the essentials and it also has a coin pouch as well for added organization.

The Chevron Quilted Jumbo Love Crossbody is LARGE and I love that about it. I wanted an everyday brunch worthy bag that could fit my essentials and not feel heavy on my shoulder. This bag fits the bill because it is lightweight and spacious. The dark sand color is delightful and wearable for several months from early summer to late autumn.

The back of the bag has an additional flap, perfect for quick reach items like my cellphone. I think a back flap is essential during these times because it allows you to not have to open your purse too often and put potential germs inside.

The inside of the bag has three pockets, one large one with a zipper and two smaller ones. This makes purse organization easy and practical. I put my hand sanitizer in one pocket and a sizable hand lotion and face tissues in the other smaller pocket. I also can fit two purse organization pouches inside as well so my bag remains organized.

The bag does come with a dust bag cover, how perfect! ❤

Bay Area Eats Series

Takeout & Outdoor Dining Edition

Boiling Crab San Jose – 71 Curtner Ave Suite 20, San Jose, CA 95125 – I prefer the Boiling Crab seafood boil to Kickin’ Crab. We ordered takeout seafood boil in whole-shebang (all sauces mixed) spicy sauce. We got shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and crab. The freshness of the seafood and flavor surpassed our expectations. It was a beautiful meal to have on my patio on a summer evening!

The Sandwich Spot – 5126 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129 – I ordered two takeout sandwiches: the Crab sandwich and the Spartan Special sandwich. The Crab Sandwich uses imitation crab and has a fresh cold summer-like taste while the Spartan Special is the standard turkey bacon sandwich. I preferred the Spartan Special. Still, both sandwiches tasted appetizing. They often have coupons on Grub Hub.

Pizz’A Chicago – 1576 Halford Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95051 – This pizza place does pizza best. I’ve ordered other things on the menu like stuffed mushrooms and I was extremely disappointed. However, their pizzas are super tasty and flavorful. Though they are named after Chicago pizza they do not seem to make deep dish pizza. I’ve ordered two pizzas from here and the best one is pictured above The Southsider pizza. This restaurant has two small tables outside for outdoor dining.

Pacific Catch – 19399 Stevens Creek Blvd Ste 5, Cupertino, CA 95014 – A pleasant outdoor eating restaurant is Pacific Catch. The food is a fusion of different cuisines. They have super tasty cocktails as well. Their food is simple flavor-wise but their service and presentation are excellent. Our waiter was super kind and happy and the restaurant generally has positive vibes. Makes for a nice quick bite!

La Chilanguita Taco Truck – 4179 Moorpark Ave #4167, San Jose, CA 95117 – This authentic taco truck has no frills but still offers a cheap and delicious eating experience. I liked the carne asada tacos most. I think their horchata tastes addicting and tasty as well.

I was going to recommend San Mateo restaurants for outdoor dining because the area had entire streets closed off or set up to cater to outdoor customers however it seems the area may close down again. Pictured above is a quick bite bento box lunch from NI-MO Japanese Cuisine – 73 E 3rd Ave, San Mateo, CA 94401 – The food tasted fresh and simple, nothing noteworthy, its a nice place to eat outside.

Do you like hot waffles and cold ice-cream? If you do then you’ll love takeout from Cocohodo Sunnyvale – 1082 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087. They have two small tables and chairs right by the entrance, so we were able to eat outside of the restaurant. I ordered the Green Tea waffle with bananas and green tea ice-cream. We also got shaved mango ice and both dishes tasted delightful!

If you crave a Korean BBQ “feast style” meal the best place to go in the South Bay is Tobang – 1052 Kiely Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95051 – They make grilled meat and serve other popular Korean dishes like seafood pancakes. What makes them stand out is their welcoming customer service and large portions with extra sides if you have a large order.

Somi Somi – 19540 Vallco Pkwy #160, Cupertino, CA 95014 – I’ve been here twice and both experiences were perfect. They offer soft serve and fish shaped waffle cones. I love the black sesame ice-cream and crunchy topping options! ❤

Recommendation ~ Black Girl Magic Wine

I recently came across Black Girl Magic wine at the wine store and fell in love with the owners’ story. The McBrides winery is majority women employed and the owners are two bi-racial sisters who did not know of each other and lived across the world from one another. They eventually found each other and opened a wine business, this is one of few women-owned wine businesses that exist! Read more and see their online store here –

The Health Edit 🏋🏽‍♀️

Hey ya’ll, I thought I’d share some of the things I eat and drink to maintain health. Please note and know everyone’s health varies and you should consult your medical professional before taking any advice.

Here are my tips:

Kor Shots – Ginger – “Wellness”

As I’ve stated in a previous blog post, drinking ginger tea made by boiling ginger root is super healthful. Kor’s ginger shots are an excellent health pick-me-up. Ginger fights infection, additionally the shots have cayenne pepper and this combination of ingredients both boosts immunity and fastens your metabolism.

Kor shots are typically sold individually in most supermarkets and online at different retailers. It also is sold on the Kor Shots site itself. The shipping cost is a little steep at $20 however, the site does rotate promotions for free shipping.

Check out this article by Healthline to read more about ginger and other natural ingredients that fight viruses and infection.

Buddha Blend Immunity Tea

I love this tea so much because it helps keep your gut and body aligned. The tea is packaged in bleach-free bags and without any additives. The ingredients have anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants, and herbs that support respiratory health, specifically nettle leaf and hyssop.

Sorrel Loose Leaf Tea

Sorrel from Jamaica is well known in the Caribbean and Central America for its anti-viral properties and overall health benefits. My Panamanian grandmother always made my family drink it. It is typically found in ethnic supermarkets in the loose leaf form. It can be boiled with ginger root, strained, and cooled to become a beverage. A tip is to add more water to dilute it once it is ready and sugar to sweeten the tart flavor.

The age old garlic method – as most people know eating half of a whole raw garlic clove wonders to fight infection and illness as well because raw garlic is a natural antibiotic. Garlic can help fight summer allergies by acting as a natural decongestant. Check out this article for more information by HTC Health

I wish you health always! ❤

Jo Malone Fragrance Review 🍇

I purchased Jo Malone cologne and body lotion and also got a body creme sample.

  • The Pomegranate Noir Body & Hand Lotion – I LOVE the smell of spices and fruit, if you also like that kind of scent you’ll adore this body lotion. The key notes are pomegranate, casablanca lily, and guaiawood. I like to use this body lotion after my night shower with my Blackberry & Bay Cologne. I think the combination is heavenly. I can still smell the lotion and perfume on my skin when I wake up in the morning. The fragrance is extremely long-lasting.

  • Mimosa & Cardamom Deluxe Body Creme Sample – The top notes are cardamom, mimosa, and tonka bean. I enjoy this body creme, but I prefer the pomegranate noir scent. The texture is thicker and more velvety than other lotions. It has hydrating oils like jojoba seed, cocoa seed, and sweet almond oil. It smells most like cardamon to me. What I most like about this product is that it sinks into my skin despite the thickness.

Blackberry & Bay Cologne – This cologne works best with my body chemistry from the Jo Malone line. The top notes are blackberry, bay leaves, and cedarwood. The scent is most like blackberries, and bay leaves in my opinion. It is balanced and present but not overpowering. It has a sophisticated fruity smell.

Ending this post with my nails, the nail artist is super talented and hand-painted them! ❤

Just Nutritive Hair Growth Products

Hey everyone, have you heard of the brand Just Nutritive? They carry many products from hair care to body care like anti-aging treatments, but they specialize in hair growth products. They even have a product to get rid of bald spots. I purchased a few products from this line:

The Pre-Wash Treatment – This is a pre-shampoo treatment helps prevent frizz and heat damage.

Grow New Hair Treatment – This treatment stimulates the hair follicles for growth. It also balances the scalp for optimal health from any imbalance caused by chemicals, medication, or stress.

Nightly Scalp Massage – This scalp massage product relaxes the scalp to stimulate growth with rosemary, thyme, atlas cedarwood, horsetail extract, sea buckthorn oil, apricot kernel oil, and more.

Protein and Vitamin Treatment – This treatment is made to thicken your hair with hydrolyzed proteins. I like to massage my scalp with this product every now and then. It does not need to get washed out.

Grow New Hair Shampoo – This shampoo is non-drying and gentle enough to encourage the growth of your hair. I love it, and it works on my natural hair roots when I wash my braids.

Grow New Hair Conditioner – This conditioner is formulated to lessen hair breakage and fallout. It moisturizes my natural roots and has a spa-like herbal smell.

If you’re struggling with hair breakage or loss I highly recommend you look into this line and see if one or more of their products can help you. So far my hair has been growing faster than usual with my hair care routine and it is back to its original thickness. ❤

Summer Body Care cont.🌴

St. Ives – Refreshing Body Wash, Rose Water and Aloe Vera. Price $3.10-$3.99

I recommend this body wash because it is affordable, pleasantly scented, lathers well, and hydrating. There’s nothing more to ask for right? Plus, this brand is cruelty-free and vegan. The smell is rose-like and not overpowering or chemical smelling.

I love body scrubs from this Mer-Sea & Co. line. The Coconut Sugar body scrub is just as lovely as Vanilla Sugar, though I prefer the Vanilla scent this coconut scent is more mellow. This scrub is perfect for those who favor coconut scents and scents that are not loud. The scrub lathers well in my hands, and the scrub itself is balanced in texture, not too hard or too soft. I recommend this scrub to bring on the summery coconut vibes.

What are your favorite summer body care products?
